Kitchen Table Collections
This is another great reason to shop for a table in a real store so you can see and feel the quality of the set. Buying online is a more convenient alternative especially if you are very familiar with the make, track record and quality of a particular furniture brand. An alternative to high kitchen tables will be t install a large island, counter or bar in your kitchen. A counter or bar that is large enough may serve as a kitchen table very well (when it is well designed). Having a bar cum counter cum kitchen table can be oh-so-stylish, space saving and very versatile. But the key is to do it right. I know I have said this before, but it will be worth your while to consult an interior designer. As a general rule, the counter top should be of a somber and subtle color so that it will not be the center of attention. The key is to choose a neutral color that would withstand the test of time and passing design trends. If you want to spruce up the look of the counter later, you can always do it with some counter top decorations. With that said, it is also worth mentioning that there are downsides to installing and building a counter top to serve as your kitchen table. Because of their permanent nature, it may be quite hard to change the look of it, leave alone moving it to another location. Some people may not opt for these as counter tops and bars are just less cozy and warm compared to traditional kitchen tables.
